I've been a member of twitter since...2007. All along the way I have seen people join and folllow, delete their accounts, gripe, rant, rave, applaud, protest and much. All of it pretty normal. Once in a while some things get out of hand.
Recently, a group of supporters of a group overseas that I will not give credence to by mentioning their acronym of a name, has complained that their free speech rights have been violated by Twitter canceling their accounts.
Last time I checked, FREE SPEECH in this country is part of the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America.
You're signing on to a service which originates in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. You by signing on have agreed to follow the TERMS of SERVICE of this organization know as Twitter. I am pretty sure...yes, I see it now, here's the line from their TOS directly:
" Violence and Threats: You may not publish or post direct, specific threats of violence against others."
and then there's this one:
"Unlawful Use: You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content."
So it seems to me that it's pretty clear that anyone posting any threats, or offering to do harm against others...you're pretty much sucking bandwidth if you violate things because they'll find you, trace your ip address and shut you down. Their network, their rules. If you don't play by them, expect to have your account closed. End of Story.

Now, here's an idea. You people want to kill off all those people on the planet that don't wear your particular brand of wardrobe or read your books or subscribe to your ideology, why don't you start your very own social network and encourage all those who do wish to be a part of it to subscribe. That way you can have a clear channel to promote whatever it is that you want to and the rest of the world can live in peace and harmony without being distracted by your less than optimal view of everything that we do.
Some of us are perfectly happy walking our dogs, eating in different places, praying to GOD (yes, we pray to GOD as well), just maybe not in a special time or in some special spot because God said to all that he is EVERYWHERE and no matter where you are, you may pray and that prayer will be heard. Perhaps you can try that sometime as it's not against the will of GOD. For those that don't believe in God...let them not believe. When they are at the point of trying to enter the kingdom after life here is done...they might wish to know who is behind those pearly gates.
Anyway, some things to think about when you're posting pictures of people with bullseyes on their faces trying to make them fear you. You're doing nothing that serves the greater good in the Universe which is why we were all placed here on Earth in the first place.
